Anti-drug crusader of the year

Mondovi police
It was just before midnight on March 13 when Mondovi's finest arrived at the
home of Jacki Rickert, a prominent proponent of medical marijuana. Sure
enough they found marijuana that Rickert, who is confined to a wheelchair
and weighs 90 pounds, uses to alleviate pain caused by bone and muscle
illnesses. Although Rickert was never charged, the cops (who stayed at the
crime scene for ten hours) thought it was a righteous use of police
resources. "I've got a job to do," said Mondovi Police Chief Terry Pittman,
"Until the law changes, it's still illegal." Somebody please change the law
so this guy can do something else.
